Two printmaking processes go into making every Ethnicitees tshirt, mug, and print. The illustrated portraits are rendered out of hand carved linoleum block prints by Artist, Printmaker, and Company Founder / Owner Sean Ramon Montague. Relief printing, originating in Japan, involves using carving tools to cut away areas of the design that you don’t wish to print...carving the design out in reverse of how it prints in final form. After formatting the text, the linocut is then Screenprinted onto apparel, mugs, & prints!

Tools of the trade that Artist / Illustrator / Printmaker Sean Ramon Montague uses for the creation of each Ethnicitees, LLC design. Both Relief Printmaking and Screen-Printing are two ancient Japanese printmaking mediums that are used in the creation of each of the Ethnicitees, LLC Cultural Wearables product line.

Linoleum carving tools of the trade! Each carving blade offers a different line quality. The flater blades are for removing more linoleum space for clearing big areas. The smaller, thiner blades are for finer detail!
