Ethnicitees LLC started in 1992 with the mission of “raising educational awareness of the historical, global accomplishments of African American/ Black people! We pioneered the concept of biographical, literary “Cultural Wearables “ apparel, with portraits of famous, iconic Black historical figures, carved out of relief print linoleum blocks and then screenprinted!

Entrepreneur Sean Ramon Montague, while working as an Art Instructor for Baltimore City Public Schools, determined the need for a unique educational product that teaches Black histoey because our history was not taught to our youth in public schools and adults had minimum knowledge about our heritage and legacy, as well

Starting with four historical figure designs, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Marcus Garvey, and Frederick Douglass, and quickly expanding to include many other legends and Wes expanded to include an Ethniciteas (mug) line, as well.

Over the last 32 years, Ethnicitees LLC has successfully marketed its apparel brand to museums, cultural centers, festivals, etc., along with locally, nationally, and internationally!

We are proud with the diverse support that Ethnicitees has from patrons, friends, and supporters spanning generations; Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, etc. and all ethnicities.

Ethnicitees LLC was blessed to advance to the next level of its legacy with the launch of our beautfiul, museum quality store at The Bowie Town Center, for 4 years (2019-2022).

Ethnicitees, LLC was proudly featured on both QVC and HSN, Spotlighting Black businesses throughout the nation, which gave our brand international exposure! Despite the global hardships of the global pandemic, Ethnicitees LLC has successfully received funding through the crisis, including crowdfunding via Kiva Baltimore and COVID 19 economic business and artistic assistance from federal SBA and local government grant and loan sources! Ethnicitees LLC has proudly built a brand legacy that has now exceeded 32 years! We also received international exposure with our Ethnicitees brand being featured on MSNBC with Joy Reid, September 2021! Further media exposure included Fox News DC, WUSA-9, ABC-7, WJZ-TV and so much more! Comedian Michael Colyar also featured our brand on “The Morning Show With Michael Colyar”!

Currently, Ethnicitees operates its Pop Up Shop at The Mall store In Columbia, Maryland and, for the next 4 months, as an inaugural kiosk vendor at the newly re-imagined Lexington Market, Downtown Baltimore City!
